This morning, Mike walked into the room where our grandkids were playing. He asked Galilee, “Why is it that when you play games you’re so bossy?” Without looking up at him, she sing-songed, “Good bye.” He came out shaking with laughter.
Aren’t we like that a lot with the Holy Spirit?
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. John 14:26 Amp.
The word for teach here, didasko, is a “prolongued form of the verb dao” meaning to teach. The Holy spirit is always teaching us and bringing things to our minds–which includes admonishing us. Sometimes we are just like Galilee and respond to the Holy Spirit’s nudges with a sing-songy “Good-bye.” Today let’s focus on receiving His teaching and reminders!
PRICELESS!!!! Love the name Galilee, too! Great observation, Susan. How true!
