We’re going through a fog-filled season of change right now as we seek God’s will for our future. We’ve felt the tectonic plates shifting below the surface of our lives, and are waiting for the fog to clear…to see where God leads us.
I find that I am once again filled with what-ifs, most of which revolve around people being unhappy with our choices. This of course, speaks of a different fear–the fear of man. I keep thinking of the pros and cons (what the Message Bible refers to as that do-it-yourself life), but I simply need to look at what God has for us! Thank God, Mike is such an example to me of the faith-filled life spoken about in Romans 8:
So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go! This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” Romans 8: 12-15 The Message Bible
