Mike felt compelled to share about imputations at I-Hop the other morning. Imputation is a banking term which means to put in one’s account.
Adam’s sin is imputed to us; many think this is unfair. Our sin was imputed to Christ on the cross, and Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us when we receive the free gift of salvation.
Sometimes we fear losing our salvation, but we couldn’t be good enough to earn it and we can’t lose it. We are secure. As usual, Mike made notes while he spoke and we ended up with wisdom to go.
4Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness. Romans 4:4,5
I’m so glad you took a picture of this. I can never retell it the way he did.
